Most stupid thing I've heard in awhile:

On CNN's "90 Second Pop" segment on their morning show, the pairing of Pitt and Jolie was referred to as "Brangelina".

And I've heard some stupid things lately.

I wonder if this is going to become a cultural thing. Couples in the future will base the strength of their relationship on how well their names mesh... Parents will give their children names with easily matchable syllables in the hopes of getting them good pairings later in life... stupider things have happened...

Heh, I like it. I think they're both assholes, and I like the way it equates them with Ben and JLO. It's a nice touch, I think.

I don't think the woman who revelled in it's use (even faux-apologizing for it, "Oh, I know I'm so corny") was pegging it in a derogatory fashion. She was certainly try and 'Bennifer' them, but just as a hip way of identifying them.

Although, now I'm upset that Mrs. soldier and I don't have names that match up well...

My dad put a chevy small block in a Toyota pup truck one time, and we called it his Chevyota. We always thought it would have been funnier to call it a Toylet, though. Non-sequitur? Done.
