Diet
So, the 25th was PT test day, and I indulged in pizza for dinner. The 26th was a "not so good" day, and I indulged in pizza at all three meals.
The 27th was alright until the evening when I got really really bored and ate (bad plan). Yesterday featured a mediocre effort topped off by chinese buffet.
PT was better than my diet, in general. After my strong effort on the PT test Wednesday, Thursday wound up being a light gym day (elliptical machine and legs, IIRC). Friday was 5 miles around the perimeter at a 10-minute/mile pace. I even went to the gym yesterday! 2 miles on the treadmill, then calves, abs, lower back and leg press (all on different machines). My legs were
tight
today (leg press was 12 reps @ 230#, 12 reps @ 250# and 10 rep (burnout) @ 270#) so I didn't go in (rest day, y'know). (My legs are starting to look better, though.)
So, accountability, starting again today!
2 eggs, 2 egg subs, salsa: 230 cal, 90 fat cal, 10g fat, 3g saturated fat, 5g carb, 1g fiber, 26g protein
Chili with red pepper: 519 cal, 182 fat cal, 20g fat, 8g saturated fat, 41g carb, 16g fiber, 29g protein
Energy bar: 230 cal, 70 fat cal, 8g fat, 4.5g saturated fat, 26g carb, 4g fiber, 10g protein
Dinner: 535 cal, 50 fat cal, 6g fat, 2g saturated fat, 64g carb, 26g fiber, 23g protein
Yogurt: 100 cal, 0 fat cal, 0g fat, 0g saturated fat, 19g carb, 0g fiber, 5g protein
Total: 1614 cal, 392 fat cal, 34g fat, 17.5g saturated fat, 155g carb, 47g fiber, 93g protein
Dinner was the Mex-ish bit again: 2 tortillas, beans, salsa, red bell peppers, onion. Still very tasty.
I haven't actually eaten the yogurt yet. Just projecting.
Also, might do a few crunches before bed. I've got the dumbbells out still and have occaisionally done a few reps of various exercise.
Back on track. Might experiment with NutriSystem this month, need to read the documentation.
edit: The one yogurt I had left was actually expired 3 weeks ago. So, I had Triscuits and cheese instead: 170 cal, 50 fat cal, 5.5g fat, 1.5 saturated fat, 20g carb, 3g fiber, 7g protein
New totals: 1684 cal, 442 fat cal, 39.5g fat, 19g saturated fat, 156g carb, 50g fiber, 95g protein
I'm not terribly impressed with my initial look at Nutrisystem. Just another way of accounting for your food, with the added step of buying ~$300 worth of prepackaged stuff. Still, I have a 4 week supply (given free from a colleague) so I may give it a shot a week at a time anyway.
