Damn it.
So, today has been pretty stressful for me. I knew well ahead of time that I had duty tonight, so I'll be staying up all night babysitting barracks rats. But does that mean I made sure I got plenty of sleep last night? Noooooo... Once I did lay down, I had fitful dreams all night. Then this morning, after I had decided that I would sleep in to miss PT (we're not required to come in until Noon on our duty night days), my supervisor called to see why I wasn't at PT. So, the next 1.5 hours of sleep were light and unrestful...
Dealt with stress in class as one of my students failed a second-chance retest and had to be washed out of the course. Realized I had forgotten my dental cleaning appointment; this will be reported to my commander later. I missed breakfast, I missed mid-morning snack, I had a Lean Cuisine for lunch.
I'm at the duty desk now, and had a Power Bar Protein Plus with a Diet Dr Pepper (I usually don't mention my diet soda intake, but I bought a 12 pack before I came on shift) and then did 20 pushups. I'm right now fighting the urge to order pizza. When I go on security checks, I'll swing by the other building and get some frozen microwaveable food I have stashed there... but I'll probably cave to a veggie pizza and maybe wings.
All night duty really screws up my entire schedule and my diet. Blegh.
