Cassettes Ain't Worth

I have three cassettes in good condition that are just lying around my apartment taking up (a very minimal) space.

Going to list them on eBay, but... I most likely won't have any luck with them. I suppose it's not so strange that they are inexpensive; the technology is virtually dead. (I will say that I keep receiving recorded cassettes from various language instructors, although one of my last did start putting .mp3 files on discs for us.) There also (probably) isn't a rabid fan-base for these recordings as there exists for vinyl (although I hear that has dropped off greatly as well).

Anyway, this is the first of many attempts to eBay my crap out of my apartment. I suppose these cassettes are a loss.

Well, the two that I put up are 'Weird Al' Yankovic cassettes - Dare To Be Stupid and Even Worse. There must be someone who wants them, because Even Worse has a bid ($.01) and there is one person watching Dare To Be Stupid.

I tried to dress up the description as best I could... I did mention that a song of Dare To Be Stupid (the title track) was mentioned in the Transformers movie, so maybe that helped?

My FIL's work truck has a cassette player and when he went to Walmart to look for tapes the girl told him "this is 2006". ha ha.

The best way to unload a box of junk is to list it as a box of junk...seriously. I did that one time, and got about $10 promising nothing more than a box of assorted junk from my attic.

I might do that with some other stuff. I had considered doing a box of "assorted toys from fast food restaurants." Most of those I don't have any more, though.

The cassettes sold for a penny a piece, with $3 s/h charges. At least they'll be gone (as soon as I'm paid).
