Question: "Hey, do any of you other geeks have a chocolate chip cookie recipe?"
Answer: "Dude, just use the one off the back of the package of chocolate chips."

So:

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (pecans in this case)

These things have virtually NO nutritional value... I was actually looking to make them to stave off the evil of snacking on chocolate chips. Now I have to skirt the evil of chocolate chip *cookies*.

In order to do so, I'm taking them in to class today. The students just had a test and we're going to watch an appropriate movie this afternoon, so I suppose a snack would be in order.

Anyway, next thing up is probably another loaf of banana bread, since I have 4+ bananas that are headed that way. No cooking plans for this weekend (I'll have my boys, so we'll eat simple or eat out), but maybe next week and weekend...

Nuts (Pecans) are good for you - therefore - the cookies are good for you.

And eggs provide good proteins...

but, seriously, these are terrible little fat pills. I'm not making them again unless I have an easy way of getting rid of them. (There was one PFC in my class that ate a dozen by himself, so that worked out okay.)
